The federal government has broadened the progressing National Identification Number (NIN) and Supporter Character Module (SIM) integration practice by about two months, with another deadline of April 6, 2021.
As indicated by an assertion mutually endorsed by Director Public Affairs, the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde and Head, Corporate Communications, National Identity Management, NIMC, Mr. Kayode Adegoke the expansion was conveyed by the Priest of Interchanges and Advanced Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim during the gathering of the Clerical Taskforce on NIN-SIM enrollment which hung on Monday.
Dr Pantami expressed that the expansion is to give Nigerians and lawful inhabitants more opportunity to integrate their NIN with the SIM.
The gathering was led by the Minister and went to by key partners, including the EVC/President of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), DG/Chief of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), DG/President of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Chairman of the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON). Others incorporate the MD/Chiefs of MTN, Airtel, 9Mobile, Ntel, Spectranet and SMILE, just as the COO of Globacom.
