Suspected ruffians have kidnapped an Ikorodu-born business tycoon, Alhaji Lookman Onabanjo, prevalently known as “Bugon”
It was accumulated that the casualty was hijacked by a 8-man pack equipped with AK-47 rifle and one submachine firearm at Agbowa region of Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area of Lagos State on Monday, March 8.
He was said to have been snatched close by his driver and three others, while on their way to his homestead in Ota, Ogun State. The finance manager has companies among which is Bugon Oil and Gas, Bugon Autoland and Bugon Farms.
It was additionally compiled that three of the victims were delivered after certain hours. As indicated by one of the free victims, the shooters made them journey for two hours until they got to a thick shrubbery, where they were held.
A family source, who affirmed the episode to Vanguard on Wednesday, said the ruffians have requested N100 million as a payoff for their release.
The source said family and supporters were haggling for N10 million while the hijackers demanded N100 million.
A source in the casualty’s Ota-Ona, Ikorodu area said different casualties, who were captured close by the financial specialist, supposedly paid N15 million and an extra N5,000 as payment for their delivery.
“The N5,000 was added when they threatened that if the N15 million was incomplete both victims would be killed. The ransom was collected at Emuren Pipeline area before the victims were released. They came out of a bush near Adama.” the source told Vanguard.
