“Nigerians Who Flaunt Lifestyles They Can’t Afford Will Be Investigated” – Onochie Discloses

Lauretta Onochie, the aide to the President via social media, has unveiled that Lifestyle review is currently legitimate in the nation thus, Nigerians who parade wealth that they can’t afford will be assessed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission just as the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission.

The assistant to the President expressed this on Twitter on Monday, saying such people will be invited by the anti-graft agencies to clarify the sources of their wealth and properties.

She stated, ” Lifestyle Audit is now legal in Nigeria. Those who flaunt lifestyles they cannot afford can now be investigated by any of the graft agencies to produce evidence of the sources of their wealth. You can now be called upon to explain how you acquired certain properties. -@ICPC_PE.”

Prior, the EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa said the commission will from June 1 interest the resource presentation types of financiers.

He said the choice was in accordance with the arrangements of the Bank, Employees Declaration of Asset Act.
