Burna Boy, a Nigerian dancehall musician, has called out people who use his nickname, Odogwu, for their brand.
The Grammy winner requested money from Obi Cubana, a rich businessman, for calling his herbal medicine ‘Odogwu Bitters’ without paying him royalties.
Obi Cubana developed Odogwu Bitters a few months ago and hired a slew of celebrities as brand ambassadors, including Zubby Michael, Alexx Ekubo, and singer Portable.
Burna said that the CEO of Cubana Group owes him money for using his name in an Instagram video.
The On The Low singer joked that he would provide the business mogul his account details for payment.
He said; “Them do Odogwu Bitters dem no give me money. Wetin dey happen? Those people wey do Odogwu Bitters dem dey owe me money. So make them pay – I go send them account”.
